Set your phasers to FUN!! The Galactic Get Down is a 3-day outer-space themed music and camping festival located in the outskirts of Houston, MN at the beautiful Outback Ranch.  The festival is hosted by Dead Larry, a 4-piece intergalactic/rock/funk/dance group that originated in Iowa City, IA, but now resides in the Twin Cities in Minnesota.  The band brings all of their funky friends to the party - and with them come a wide array of musical genres: rock, funk, bluegrass, jam, ska, indie, hip-hop and electronic.  With 2 stages and over 25 acts with no overlapping music - there is definitely something for everyone at Galactic Get Down.  The festival is very kid/family friendly.  There are plenty of activities on-site, as well as a playground for the little ones!  The festival also provides a wide variety of live visual artists painting and creating all weekend - you can watch a unique piece of art being created before your eyes - and then take it home with you!  Oh, but there’s more!  We have independent food vendors to satisfy every craving, and with our craft/art vendors lining the paths you will surely find something to add to your collection of festi gear!!
